Do You Qualify?
It takes about a minute. Four questions, and you find out if the lemon law may apply.
You Likely Qualify!
Your answers line up with the basic lemon law test. The next step is for an attorney to confirm that from your repair orders. Because we work on a contingency basis, there are no attorney’s fees unless we recover for you.
You May Not Qualify Under Standard Lemon Law
Your answers fall outside the usual lemon law test. That does not rule out other consumer protection laws. Contact us anyway.

How your Connecticut claim gets built
Our lemon law work is directed by Steven P. Nassi, Esq., Managing Partner, Easy Lemon by RockPoint Law P.C. A Connecticut claim gets built on two things: the Connecticut lemon law statute, and the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which applies in all fifty states. Send the repair orders and the purchase or lease paperwork, and we can tell you which of the two fits your vehicle.

Enfield Lemon Law Basics
Claims from Enfield fall under Conn. Gen. Stat. §42-179, which covers new motor vehicles purchased or leased in Connecticut for personal, family, or household use. If the defect is still there once your repair orders reach one of the repair limits in the box above, and you are within the deadline, you may have a claim. Our Connecticut Lemon Law Attorneys page has the statute text, the deadlines and the used-car rules.
How an Enfield Lemon Law Claim Works
This is what happens after you call us from Enfield.
Document Your Repairs
Keep every repair order from your Enfield dealership, even the short ones. CT lemon law needs written proof of each repair attempt, and those papers are the proof.
Free Case Evaluation
We read your repair history against the Connecticut statute and tell you whether the car qualifies. The review costs nothing, and there are no attorney's fees unless we recover for you.
We File the Claim
We write and send the paperwork, including any written notice to the manufacturer that CT law requires. We deal with the manufacturer for you.
You Get Compensated
The case ends with a refund, a replacement vehicle or a cash settlement. There are no attorney's fees unless we recover for you.
Is Your Enfield Car a Lemon? Connecticut's 3-Step Test
Does the Defect Substantially Impair Use, Value, or Safety?
Under Connecticut law, the defect has to substantially impair the vehicle's use, value, or safety.
Have You Met the Repair Attempt Threshold?
In Connecticut the test is 4 repair attempts for the same defect (or 2 for serious safety defects), or 30 cumulative calendar days out of service, as long as the claim is brought within the deadline in step 3. For a defect that could cause serious bodily injury or death, 2 repair attempts are enough. Count the visits on your repair orders to see where you stand.
Did It Happen Within the Rights Period?
The Connecticut lemon law does not set its own deadline to sue, but defects must be reported within 2 years or 24,000 miles from original delivery, whichever is earlier. We check it against the delivery date on your contract and the dates on your repair orders.
If you are not sure about your dates, call us. The consultation is free. 📞 (855) 435-3666
If you are past the deadline, call us anyway. We may still be able to help.
Court and Venue in Enfield
Enfield is in Hartford County, but Connecticut assigns civil cases by town, not county. The Judicial Branch's town list places Enfield in the Hartford Judicial District of the Connecticut Superior Court, the state's trial court for civil cases. Which court hears a particular case still depends on its facts, the warranty issues involved and the law it is brought under.
The Connecticut lemon law is Conn. Gen. Stat. §42-179. The claim must go through the state-run arbitration program of the Department of Consumer Protection.
The repair test in the statute is 4 repair attempts for the same defect (or 2 for serious safety defects), or 30 cumulative calendar days with the vehicle out of service. The statutory remedy is a replacement vehicle, full refund, or monetary damages. The court may award a consumer who prevails costs and reasonable attorney fees.
Open recalls on your vehicle can be checked against NHTSA records at easylemon.com/recalls. A recall alone is not a lemon law claim.

Connecticut Lemon Law: The Rules That Decide an Enfield Claim
Looking for the repair test, the deadline or the arbitration rule? Those are under Court and Venue above. Connecticut law has a few more rules, and they are listed here.
Notable provisions of Connecticut Lemon Law
Connecticut has a state-run arbitration program (not manufacturer-run). Only 2 repair attempts needed for defects that could cause death or serious injury. Also covers leased vehicles.

What The Manufacturer Owes You
Under Connecticut law the remedy is replacement vehicle, full refund, or monetary damages. A qualifying CT case from Enfield usually closes in one of these three ways.
Refund
The car goes back to the manufacturer, which returns what you paid, with the taxes, registration fees and finance charges.
Replacement Vehicle
The manufacturer swaps your car for a comparable new one and pays for the exchange.
Cash Settlement
You hold on to the car and are paid for the value the defect cost you.
