Repair History

2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE Repair History: What the Repair Orders Show

Visit 1: August 26, 2025 – September 2, 2025

  • The vehicle was towed to the dealer with the check engine light on, reduced power mode active, and a turtle icon displayed on the dashboard.
  • Diagnostic testing revealed fault code P00022B; this indicated an internal electrical fault within the quantity control valve (Y147/1), confirmed by a cross-short and failure of rail pressure to increase when actuated.
  • Continuity testing between the relevant control unit pins came back with a reading outside specification, which ruled out a wiring problem and pinpointed the fault to the valve itself.
  • To access the high-pressure fuel pump, the lower engine compartment lining was removed, coolant was drained, and the intake manifold and electric vacuum pump were removed.
  • The fuel system pressure was relieved, and the high-pressure fuel pump, which houses the quantity control valve, was removed and replaced.
  • Components were reinstalled in reverse order, the coolant system was bled, the high-pressure fuel circuit was checked for leak tightness, and the vehicle was road tested with normal operation confirmed.

Visit 2: May 21, 2026 – June 15, 2026

  • The owner reported that the vehicle had stalled and failed to start on this, the fourth such occurrence, referencing prior service history.
  • Diagnostic investigation identified an intermittent open circuit in the ESP wiring caused by a damaged connector pin lock at pin 40, along with a stripped chassis ground nut; wiring interference from previous ME control unit repairs was also found to be a contributing factor.
  • To perform the repair, both front seats were removed, and the carpet was partially pulled back to access the affected wiring.
  • The damaged contact pin was replaced, the electrical line was repaired, and the chassis ground connection was corrected.
  • A full system quick test and electrical system check were performed, and the traction and brake system was checked for fault codes.

Common Questions

2025 Mercedes-Benz GLE Lemon Law Questions in Florida

What are the Florida lemon law standards for a Mercedes-Benz GLE?
In Florida, the test is 3 repair attempts for the same defect, plus a final repair attempt after written notice, or 30 cumulative calendar days (60 days for recreational vehicles) out of service (the Florida Lemon Law - Motor Vehicle Warranty Enforcement Act, Fla. Stat. §681.10 to §681.118). Remedies: Replacement vehicle or a refund of the purchase price (minus a reasonable offset for use). The federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act also applies to written warranties in every state.
How much did this Florida Mercedes-Benz GLE case recover?
$76,957, paid as a vehicle buyback. That figure includes our client's payment, the lender payoff and the attorney fees Mercedes-Benz paid. Results may vary. Prior outcomes do not guarantee a similar result.
Buyback or cash and keep: what is the difference?
A cash-and-keep settlement leaves the vehicle with the owner and pays cash. A buyback returns the vehicle to the manufacturer, which pays off the loan or lease and refunds the owner, less any use allowance permitted by state law.
Is there a fee to hire Easy Lemon for a Mercedes-Benz GLE claim?
Nothing upfront. Fee-shifting statutes in lemon law cases generally put attorney fees on the manufacturer, and this client paid nothing out of pocket†.
