Repair History

2025 Audi SQ5 Repair History: What the Repair Orders Show

Visit 1: August 21–25, 2025

  • The owner brought in the new vehicle saying that two days ago it had trouble starting; the engine would crank but would not turn on right away.
  • Eventually, the vehicle started, and the owner drove to Washington.
  • On the return trip yesterday, the check engine light came on and stayed on for the entire drive.
  • The vehicle was scanned and a passive fault code P047600 (Exhaust Pressure Control Valve "A" Range/Performance) was found.
  • The fault was cleared, and after a test drive no codes returned.

Visit 2: December 18–26, 2025

  • The owner dropped off the vehicle and reported that the check engine light was on and that there was an abnormal burning odor coming from the vents.
  • The vehicle was scanned and a code for "P050700: Idle Control System RPM Higher than Expected" was found.
  • A throttle recalibration and adjustment relearn test plan was performed, and after a test drive, the vehicle was operating normally and similar to a known good Audi vehicle.

Visit 3: January 2–8, 2026

  • The owner dropped off the vehicle reporting multiple warning messages, including a drive system malfunction, loose wheel warning, and check engine light.
  • The dealership inspected the vehicle and confirmed the owner's concerns, finding fault messages such as "Drive System Malfunction," "Loose Wheel Warning," and "Brakes Malfunction." Diagnostics showed related fault codes, and the cause was identified as known issues covered under several technical service bulletins.
  • The repairs included multiple software updates, securing the negative 12-volt battery terminal connection, and an additional attempt to complete the software flash.

Visit 4: January 21–31, 2026

  • The owner left the vehicle because of a check engine light and a concern that the driver cruise control feature intermittently becomes unavailable. The owner had to turn the vehicle off and back on again to restore operation.
  • The technician confirmed the concern, scanned the vehicle, and found DTC U107100 indicating a communication issue with the automatic distance regulation system.
  • Wiring and fuses were inspected per the test plan, and replacement of the J1121 Driver Assistance Systems Control Module was recommended.
  • The required part is currently on special order.
