Do You Qualify?
About a minute is all it takes to find out. There are four questions.
You Likely Qualify!
So far your answers fit the basic lemon law test. An attorney has to confirm it from the repair orders. We handle cases on a contingency basis, which means no attorney’s fees unless we recover for you.
You May Not Qualify Under Standard Lemon Law
Your answers do not fit the standard lemon law test, but other consumer protection laws might still apply. Contact us anyway.

How your Mississippi claim gets built
Our lemon law work is directed by Steven P. Nassi, Esq., Managing Partner, Easy Lemon by RockPoint Law P.C. A Mississippi claim gets built on two things: the Mississippi lemon law statute, and the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which applies in all fifty states. Send the repair orders and the purchase or lease paperwork, and we can tell you which of the two fits your vehicle.

Ridgeland Lemon Law Basics
A Ridgeland car is judged against Mississippi's statute, Miss. Code §63-17-151 to §63-17-165, and that law covers new motor vehicles purchased or leased in Mississippi for personal, family, or household use. So the first question is coverage, and the second is whether your repair orders reach one of the repair limits in the box above. If they do, and the defect is still there and the deadline has not run out, you may have a claim. The statute text, the filing deadlines and how used cars are treated are all on our Mississippi Lemon Law Attorneys page.
How a Ridgeland Lemon Law Claim Works
This is what happens after you call us from Ridgeland.
Document Your Repairs
Keep every repair order from your Ridgeland dealership, even the short ones. Under Mississippi's lemon law, those papers are the written proof of each repair attempt.
Free Case Evaluation
We read your repair history against the Mississippi statute and tell you whether the car qualifies. The review costs nothing, and there are no attorney's fees unless we recover for you.
We File the Claim
We write and send the paperwork, including the written notice to the manufacturer that Mississippi law requires. We deal with the manufacturer for you.
You Get Compensated
A successful case usually ends with a refund, a replacement vehicle or a cash settlement. There are no attorney's fees unless we recover for you.
Is Your Ridgeland Car a Lemon? Mississippi's 3-Step Test
Does the Defect Substantially Impair Use, Value, or Safety?
Under Mississippi law, the defect has to substantially impair the vehicle's use, value, or safety.
Have You Met the Repair Attempt Threshold?
In Mississippi the test is 3 repair attempts for the same defect or 15 cumulative working days out of service, as long as the claim is brought within the deadline in step 3. Count the visits on your repair orders to see where you stand.
Did It Happen Within the Rights Period?
In Mississippi, a claim must be filed within 1 year after the express warranty expires or 18 months from original delivery, whichever is earlier. We check that deadline against the delivery date on your contract and the dates on your repair orders.
If you are not sure about your dates, call us. The consultation is free. 📞 (855) 435-3666
If you think you are past a deadline, call us anyway. We may still be able to help.
Court and Venue in Ridgeland
Ridgeland is in Madison County. Mississippi's circuit courts are general-jurisdiction trial courts, and Madison County is in Circuit Court District 20; a county court there also hears some civil cases. Which court hears a particular case still depends on its facts, the warranty issues involved and the law it is brought under.
The Mississippi lemon law is Miss. Code §63-17-151 to §63-17-165. If the manufacturer's informal dispute program complies with federal rules (16 C.F.R. Part 703), the consumer must use it first.
The repair test in the statute is 3 repair attempts for the same defect, or 15 cumulative working days with the vehicle out of service. The statutory remedy is a replacement vehicle or a full refund, minus a reasonable offset for use. The court may award a consumer who prevails costs and reasonable attorney fees.
Open recalls on your vehicle can be checked against NHTSA records at easylemon.com/recalls. A recall alone is not a lemon law claim.

Mississippi Motor Vehicle Warranty Enforcement Act: The Rules That Decide a Ridgeland Claim
The Mississippi repair test and arbitration rule are under Court and Venue above, so they are not repeated here. This section adds a few more rules from Mississippi law.
Notable provisions of Mississippi Motor Vehicle Warranty Enforcement Act
Mississippi requires 3 repair attempts, or 15 working days out of service. Written notice to the manufacturer is required, after which the manufacturer has 10 working days to conform the vehicle to the warranty.

What The Manufacturer Owes You
The Mississippi statute provides for a replacement vehicle or a full refund, minus a reasonable offset for use, and a qualifying case from Ridgeland usually ends in one of these three ways.
Refund
You hand back the car. In return the manufacturer repays the price, the taxes, the registration fees and the finance charges, with a reasonable use offset taken out.
Replacement Vehicle
You leave with a comparable new car. The manufacturer pays for the swap.
Cash Settlement
You keep the car, and the manufacturer pays you for the value the defect took off it. This result is not listed in the statute and comes from negotiation.
