Do You Qualify?
It takes about a minute. Four questions, and you find out if the lemon law may apply.
You Likely Qualify!
Your answers line up with the basic lemon law test. The next step is for an attorney to confirm that from your repair orders. Because we work on a contingency basis, there are no attorney’s fees unless we recover for you.
You May Not Qualify Under Standard Lemon Law
Your answers fall outside the usual lemon law test. That does not rule out other consumer protection laws. Contact us anyway.

How your Nevada claim gets built
Our lemon law work is directed by Steven P. Nassi, Esq., Managing Partner, Easy Lemon by RockPoint Law P.C. A Nevada claim gets built on two things: the Nevada lemon law statute, and the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which applies in all fifty states. Send the repair orders and the purchase or lease paperwork, and we can tell you which of the two fits your vehicle.

Carson City Lemon Law Basics
A Carson City car is judged against Nevada's statute, Nev. Rev. Stat. §597.600 to §597.688, and that law covers new motor vehicles purchased or leased in Nevada for personal, family, or household purposes. So the first question is coverage, and the second is whether your repair orders reach one of the repair limits in the box above. If they do, and the defect is still there and the deadline has not run out, you may have a claim. The statute text, the filing deadlines and how used cars are treated are all on our Nevada Lemon Law Attorneys page.
How a Carson City Lemon Law Claim Works
This is what happens after you call us from Carson City.
Document Your Repairs
Keep every repair order from your Carson City dealership, even the short ones. NV lemon law needs written proof of each repair attempt, and those papers are the proof.
Free Case Evaluation
We read your repair history against the Nevada statute and tell you whether the car qualifies. The review costs nothing, and there are no attorney's fees unless we recover for you.
We File the Claim
We write and send the paperwork, including any written notice to the manufacturer that NV law requires. We deal with the manufacturer for you.
You Get Compensated
The case ends with a refund, a replacement vehicle or a cash settlement. There are no attorney's fees unless we recover for you.

Is Your Carson City Car a Lemon? Nevada's 3-Step Test
Does the Defect Substantially Impair Use, Value, or Safety?
Under Nevada law, the defect has to substantially impair the vehicle's use, value, or safety. These defects came up in one of Easy Lemon's own Nevada cases:
- ⚠️2024 Lincoln Navigator: Persistent brake/drive vibration
- ⚠️2024 Lincoln Navigator: Loose chassis bolts
- ⚠️2024 Lincoln Navigator: Body and trim issues
Have You Met the Repair Attempt Threshold?
In Nevada the test is 4 repair attempts for the same defect, or 30 cumulative calendar days out of service, as long as the claim is brought within the deadline in step 3. Count the visits on your repair orders to see where you stand.
Did It Happen Within the Rights Period?
In Nevada the deadline is 18 months after the date of original delivery of the vehicle to the buyer. We check it against the delivery date on your contract and the dates on your repair orders.
If you are not sure about your dates, call us. The consultation is free. 📞 (855) 435-3666
If you are past the deadline, call us anyway. We may still be able to help.
Court and Venue in Carson City
Carson City is a consolidated city that the Census counts as its own county area. Its general civil trial court is the First Judicial District Court. Nevada also has a lower court for smaller civil claims, so the amount in dispute can change where a case is filed. Which court hears a particular case still depends on its facts, the warranty issues involved and the law it is brought under.
The Nevada lemon law is Nev. Rev. Stat. §597.600 to §597.688. If the manufacturer's informal dispute program substantially complies with federal rules (16 C.F.R. Part 703), the buyer must submit the claim there first.
The repair test in the statute is 4 repair attempts for the same defect, or 30 cumulative calendar days with the vehicle out of service. The statutory remedy is a replacement vehicle or full refund (minus reasonable use offset). A consumer who prevails may recover attorney fees.

Nevada Lemon Law - New Vehicle Warranty Act: The Rules That Decide a Carson City Claim
If you have read Court and Venue above, you already have the repair test, the arbitration rule and the deadline. Nevada law adds a few rules on top of those, and they follow.
Notable provisions of Nevada Lemon Law - New Vehicle Warranty Act
Nevada covers the manufacturer’s express warranty period or the first year after delivery, whichever ends earlier. The presumption is 4 repair attempts or 30 cumulative calendar days out of service. NRS 597.600 to 597.688 provides no reduced-attempt route for safety-related defects.

What The Manufacturer Owes You
Under the statute, the remedies open to Nevada drivers are replacement vehicle or full refund (minus reasonable use offset). If your Carson City car qualifies under NV law, the case usually ends in one of the three ways below.
Refund
You return the car and the manufacturer pays back the price, taxes, registration fees and finance charges, minus a reasonable use offset.
Replacement Vehicle
The manufacturer replaces the car with a comparable new one at its own cost.
Cash Settlement
You keep the car and receive a payment for its lost value. That payment is negotiated. The statute does not list it.
