Easy Lemon is a lemon law firm built around one job: holding manufacturers accountable when their vehicles do not work as warranted. Founder Steven Nassi started the firm after watching consumer-protection litigation get harder for individual buyers to access, manufacturers had in-house counsel, dealers had general counsel, and ordinary owners were losing winnable cases simply because they could not navigate the procedural complexity alone.

The firm has dedicated attorneys for high-volume lemon law jurisdictions (Florida, Texas, New York). Our attorneys are licensed where they file, and our intake team routes cases to the attorney who handles that state's statute every day.

Three things shape how we work. First, fee-shift discipline. Every case is handled on contingency under the manufacturer-pays-fees provision in the state statute. Clients see no bills from us at any stage. Second, threshold-first intake. The first thing we do on every call is read the repair orders against the state's qualification threshold, most cases either qualify clearly or do not, and we tell people which side they are on within a few minutes. Third, settlement-first posture, litigation when needed. Most claims settle pre-suit. The remainder we file in state court, and those are usually the ones manufacturers underestimated.

Volume context: more than $50 million** recovered for clients across the firm's history, attorneys licensed where they file, and a caseload that runs heavy on FCA, Ford, GM, Tesla, and the major imports. Past results do not guarantee future outcomes, every case is different and depends on its specific facts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I Need An Attorney To Pursue A Lemon Law Claim? +
No statute requires one. New York's arbitration program and the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles hearing process (N.Y. Gen. Bus. Law §198-a; Tex. Occ. Code §2301.601 to §2301.613) are both open to consumers filing on their own. Counsel changes the other side's math, and the fee rule is why: 15 U.S.C. §2310(d)(2) lets a court order the manufacturer to pay the consumer's attorney's fees, and New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida each have a state fee-shifting provision too. The Texas Lemon Law has no attorney-fee provision of its own. Easy Lemon works on contingency, so there is no attorney's fee unless we recover for you.
How Do I Start A Lemon Law Claim? +
Start with the paper trail: every repair order, the purchase or lease contract and the warranty booklet. Then the manufacturer has to hear from you in writing, because most statutes won't let you enforce the remedy until it has. Florida wants it once the car has been out of service 15 days (Fla. Stat. §681.10 to §681.118). Georgia wants certified mail or statutory overnight delivery (Ga. Code §10-1-780 to §10-1-795), Michigan requires written notice and then gives the manufacturer a final repair attempt (Mich. Comp. Laws §257.1401), and Illinois requires written notice as well (815 ILCS 380). Federal law has its own version: 15 U.S.C. §2310(e) requires a reasonable opportunity to cure before suit. Then the demand goes out, and most claims settle there. A new 2024 Volkswagen Taos in Georgia went that way: repair history documented, demand sent under Georgia's statute, and Volkswagen bought it back. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
What Is the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act? +
The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, 15 U.S.C. §§2301-2312, is the 1975 federal law that governs written consumer-product warranties, car warranties included. Section 2302 says the terms have to be disclosed in plain language before the sale. Call a warranty "full" and it must meet §2304: repair within a reasonable time, and a refund or replacement if it can't be fixed. Under §2308, a warrantor can't disclaim implied warranties while a written warranty is in force. Then §2310(d) gives the consumer the right to sue, and §2310(d)(2) puts attorney's fees on the warrantor. It applies in every state, next to state lemon laws such as N.Y. Gen. Bus. Law §198-a and 73 Pa. Stat. §1951.
What If The Manufacturer Already Denied My Claim? +
You may still qualify under state or federal warranty laws. The manufacturer turning you down does not, by itself, end a claim under your state’s lemon law or the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
