Do You Qualify?
About a minute is all it takes to find out. There are four questions.
You Likely Qualify!
So far your answers fit the basic lemon law test. An attorney has to confirm it from the repair orders, and we handle cases on a contingency basis, which means no attorney’s fees unless we recover for you.
You May Not Qualify Under Standard Lemon Law
Your answers do not fit the standard lemon law test, but other consumer protection laws might still apply. Contact us anyway.

How your New Hampshire claim gets built
Our lemon law work is directed by Steven P. Nassi, Esq., Managing Partner, Easy Lemon by RockPoint Law P.C. A New Hampshire claim gets built on two things: the New Hampshire lemon law statute, and the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which applies in all fifty states. Send the repair orders and the purchase or lease paperwork, and we can tell you which of the two fits your vehicle.

Exeter Lemon Law Basics
In Exeter, as anywhere else in New Hampshire, a lemon law claim is brought under N.H. Rev. Stat. §357-D:1 to §357-D:10. The statute covers new motor vehicles purchased or leased in New Hampshire for personal, family, or household use, but being covered is only the start. The car also has to reach one of the repair limits in the box above, with the defect still unrepaired and the deadline not yet passed. If it does, you may have a claim. Our New Hampshire Lemon Law Attorneys page goes through the statute text, the filing deadlines and used cars in more detail.
How an Exeter Lemon Law Claim Works
This is what happens after you call us from Exeter.
Document Your Repairs
Keep every repair order from your Exeter dealership, even the short ones. NH lemon law needs written proof of each repair attempt, and those papers are the proof.
Free Case Evaluation
We read your repair history against the New Hampshire statute and tell you whether the car qualifies. The review costs nothing, and there are no attorney's fees unless we recover for you.
We File the Claim
We write and send the paperwork, including any written notice to the manufacturer that NH law requires. We deal with the manufacturer for you.
You Get Compensated
The case ends with a refund, a replacement vehicle or a cash settlement. There are no attorney's fees unless we recover for you.
Is Your Exeter Car a Lemon? New Hampshire's 3-Step Test
Does the Defect Substantially Impair Use, Value, or Safety?
Under New Hampshire law, the defect has to substantially impair the vehicle's use, value, or safety.
Have You Met the Repair Attempt Threshold?
In New Hampshire the test is 3 repair attempts for the same defect, or 30 cumulative business days out of service, as long as the claim is brought within the deadline in step 3. Count the visits on your repair orders to see where you stand.
Did It Happen Within the Rights Period?
In New Hampshire the deadline is the warranty period. We check it against the delivery date on your contract and the dates on your repair orders.
If you are not sure about your dates, call us. The consultation is free. 📞 (855) 435-3666
If you are past the deadline, call us anyway. We may still be able to help.
Court and Venue in Exeter
Exeter is in Rockingham County. Rockingham County's general civil trial court is the Rockingham Superior Court. Which court hears a particular case still depends on its facts, the warranty issues involved and the law it is brought under.
The New Hampshire lemon law is N.H. Rev. Stat. §357-D:1 to §357-D:10. The claim must go through the New Hampshire Motor Vehicle Arbitration Board, which the state runs.
The repair test in the statute is 3 repair attempts for the same defect, or 30 cumulative business days with the vehicle out of service. The statutory remedy is a replacement vehicle or full refund (minus reasonable use offset). Under the statute, a consumer who prevails can recover attorney fees from the manufacturer.
Open recalls on your vehicle can be checked against NHTSA records at easylemon.com/recalls. A recall alone is not a lemon law claim.

New Hampshire Lemon Law: The Rules That Decide an Exeter Claim
We covered the repair test, the arbitration rule and the deadline in the Court and Venue section above. Below are other New Hampshire rules that can matter to an Exeter claim.
Notable provisions of New Hampshire Lemon Law
New Hampshire uses state-run arbitration (not manufacturer-run). Only 3 repair attempts required. Manufacturer must clearly disclose lemon law buyback history when reselling.

What The Manufacturer Owes You
The New Hampshire statute provides for replacement vehicle or full refund (minus reasonable use offset), and a qualifying NH case from Exeter usually ends in one of these three ways.
Refund
You hand back the car. In return the manufacturer repays the price, the taxes, the registration fees and the finance charges, with a reasonable use offset taken out.
Replacement Vehicle
You leave with a comparable new car. The manufacturer pays for the swap.
Cash Settlement
You keep the car, and the manufacturer pays you for the value the defect took off it. This result is not listed in the statute and comes from negotiation.
