2024 Lotus Emira Lemon Law Case Study — Nevada
A 2024 Lotus Emira With Recurring Electrical and Electronic Defects
Our client purchased a 2024 Lotus Emira in Nevada. Despite very low mileage — the odometer read approximately 2,000 miles — the sports car developed a string of electrical and electronic defects that authorized service worked on repeatedly across many months.
According to the repair documentation, the Emira returned to authorized service for a series of concerns beginning with a navigation system glitch, an engine that would not start, multiple warning lights, a center console switch module (CCSM) failure, a loss of power that put the car in limp mode, and climate control and taillight problems. The vehicle was in the shop for more than 30 days. After this pattern of repeat repairs, our client contacted Easy Lemon for legal assistance.
What Went Wrong
- Navigation system glitch: The documentation opens with a reported navigation system glitch.
- Engine would not start: The vehicle was reported with an engine that would not start; the battery was replaced with a new battery and a function test was performed.
- Center console switch module (CCSM) failure: The center console controls (navigation, radio, etc.) were inoperative; diagnosis found a fault with the center console switch module (CCSM), which was replaced.
- Loss of power / limp mode: The vehicle lost power and went into limp mode while driving on the freeway.
- Climate control and taillight faults: The climate control buttons stopped working (the AC control panel was replaced after pinched wires were found), and a fault related to a bulletin for the taillights required a new harness.

December 4, 2025 — Power Loss Investigated With Lotus

The climate control buttons were not working; the AC control panel was found inoperative, pinched wires were repaired, and a new control panel was installed. A fault related to a bulletin for the taillights required a new harness for both taillights.
Cash and Keep Settlement Secured
Easy Lemon secured a Cash and Keep settlement of $30,000 for our client. In a Cash and Keep resolution, the client keeps the vehicle and the manufacturer pays a negotiated cash sum to compensate for the defects and the time the car spent in the shop.
