Five Repair Visits for Recurring Engine Misfires on a Nearly New Mercedes SL43R

Mercedes SL43R lemon law claims in Florida are covered under Chapter 681, Florida Statutes. When a vehicle requires multiple repair attempts for the same defect and the manufacturer cannot provide a permanent fix, the owner may be entitled to a cash settlement — at no cost. Easy Lemon recovered $148,749 for this client.

Our client purchased a new Mercedes SL43R from Mercedes-Benz of Cutler Bay, LLC in Florida. Within months of purchase, the vehicle developed a recurring engine misfire condition — diagnostic code P030001 (combustion misfire detected) — that persisted across five separate repair visits despite replacement of spark plugs, ignition coils, and all fuel injectors. The check engine light returned even after the most recent repair.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do Mercedes SL vehicles have engine misfire problems?
Engine misfires — particularly persistent cylinder-specific misfires that return after spark plug and injector replacement — can indicate deeper issues within the engine's fuel delivery or combustion systems. When a luxury vehicle experiences recurring misfires despite multiple part replacements, it suggests a defect the manufacturer has been unable to correct durably.
Can I file a lemon law claim on a high-value Mercedes in Florida?
Yes. Florida's Lemon Law applies to all new motor vehicles regardless of purchase price. Easy Lemon has secured six-figure buyback settlements against Mercedes-Benz in Florida.
Does replacing spark plugs and injectors fix a recurring misfire?
Not always. When a misfire persists across multiple spark plug and fuel injector replacements, it indicates the root cause has not been identified or corrected. This pattern — multiple attempts at repair for the same diagnostic code — is precisely what lemon law statutes are designed to address.
How does Easy Lemon handle Mercedes-Benz lemon law claims in Florida?
Easy Lemon has resolved numerous lemon law claims against Mercedes-Benz USA. Our attorneys are familiar with Mercedes's internal claims handling process and negotiate effectively on behalf of our clients. If your claim succeeds, Mercedes-Benz pays all legal fees.
